After I just arrived in Canada I would give them an extensive answer since I thought it was so nice to ask how you are doing. But pretty soon I realised that they really don't care what you say back :-)

I think we should start using "Good day" or something like that.

What I hate most is when someone does say "howya doin"? And I start to answer by saying "fine how are you?" but at that point, they are long gone and to finish my sentence I would have to turn my head and speak louder as they're walking away, so instead I end up mumbling incoherently to myself.

They probably weren't even listening. Automatic response. Gotta love those!

I especially like this one:

Person A: Your going on vacation, have a nice trip!
Person B: You too!

Er?

Or when people say

"Whats up Fool!"

its like

"nothing much stupid and dont call me that"
