Yea...
Last night didn't go so well. Totem and I got into a fight over the cats. Chef4lisa24 was over and she just ended up leaving b/c she didn't want to listen to us... After we finally calmed down, Totem and I just talked about about 3 hours, all the way to 1 in the morning... Both of us are running into ruts in out lives... If anyone says college life is not stressful, they haven't lived our lives. She's all uneasy because her family is catering to her brother, all because he is having a baby with a girl (I don't think) he loves... She's tried to do everything right and no one appears to notice. But when someone who is as messed up as her bro has a baby, evrything is forgotten...
I'm still in a rut because the"no summer vacation" is starting to take hold... I'm putting in 10+ hours days every day. So that's a little better than the 12+ I was doing in the Sprin semester, but not much better... I've got a vacation planned soon so hopefully Totem and I can relax for a bit... I hope it works because we're driving each other nuts because of the wrong things. It's killing us. We just want to sit back and relax...
What I would give to be out of college and into the workforce supporting a family right now...

I'll bet money if you ask Totem's parents (or probably even your own), they'd tell you that it doesn't get any easier.
I know my Mom still worries daily about all kinds of things going on in my life and Chasta's (my sister (younger), don't know if I've mentioned her around you). Sometimes with good reason, sometimes not, but she still worries.
The same work crud is always there, the administrators complain about whatever, ask what can be done to fix it, but don't want to take the time to learn why the problem exists in the first place. I'm guessing if you make it into one of the administrative positions you probably get stressed over the way your subordinates are always resenting your lack of time ...
Here's hoping your vacation comes through ...

I don't know about our parents. :\ None of them went to college so they only hear about the stress of it from us and our siblings...
On the other hand, my Dad is an administrator at his work and I know exactly what you mean... :(

I just re-read what I wrote and it sounds worse than what I meant...
My dad is an administrator at his work. So from his staff below him, he always gets complaints about him not having enough time for anything, even though he usually ends up doing all their work for them. On the other end of the totem poll, he's got his bosses above him who do exactly what you said, Tea...
Vicious cycle I guess... :\
