First Impressions - Spring 2003...

All in all, yesterday and today were good days. School is actually looking up...

Yesterday morning went really good. First class was the lab class for processor class I and taking. We're working on ARM processors. They're the CPU's in PDA's, Cell Phones, and stuff like that. Kewl! I'm finally getting into the stuff I want to...

Next class was not that much fun. It's the second in a series of classes that I started last semester. The teacher sucks and its goign to be those stupid 10 point exams again... Gah... At least smilemore is in my class...

Today was going better actually. The retake math course is actually looking pretty good right now. They got a new book (look below for details) that, I found out, is much better than the first. Lots more introduction to the material. Plus, I heard the teacher was horrible. While he is boring, I was able to stay awake the whole class so that is a big plus. ;)

My next class was the lecture to the lab class from monday. Acwmaiden was there with me so that was kewl. What's awesome is that the intro was about what a CPU is and how it works. Umm, I learned about that stuff in the fourth grade so maybe this is a REALLY good omen. :)

Next class was another EE class based on signals. Teacher is horrible and the material sucks but he got himself a big bonus on the first day. We had to buy a tiny little textbook for this class which was about $112. He starts the class by saying that we need to goto a local copy shop and buy copies of his lecture notes for $40. I was like WHAT!?!?!? $152 for this little class when I got the book for the both of the processor classes for $40. Then he says, "If you get them, then you will have no need for the book. You can use it as reference material." Reference material my a$$. ;) Hello $112! (Guess you could ignore the entry from a couple of days ago now.)

So things are looking up for the moment...
